Rema’s “Calm Down” certified Platinum in the US

Divine Ikubor, aka Rema

Singer, Divine Ikubor, aka Rema, has added another feather to his cap. The talented music act’s song, ‘Calm Down’, has been certified platinum in the United States.

Platinum certification is given to an album or a song that has sold more than 1 million copies.

In a tweet on Friday, Chart Data disclosed that ‘Calm Down’ is now eligible for platinum certification.

“@heisrema’s ‘Calm Down’ is now certified platinum in the US,” the post reads.

Calm Down’ was released in February 2022 as a single off ‘Rave and Roses’, Rema’s debut album.

The singer later partnered with US singer, Selena Gomez, for the remix of the hit track in August 2022.

In November 2022, the song rose to the top five of Billboard 200.

With over 393 million views, the visuals of the song became the most viewed Nigerian music video on YouTube.
