Twenty-year-old Ridwan has been apprehended by the Ogun State So-Safe Corps, for murdering his father for a ritual in Oshoku Village of Ijebu North Local government area of the state.

Moruf Yusuf, the command’s spokesperson made this known in a press statement made available to Npress in Abeokuta, the state capital.
According to the statement, at around noon on Thursday, officers on routine patrol noticed a weird noise in a structure and on entering to confirm what was going on, discovered a man’s body lying lifeless in a pool of his blood and the alleged killer fled the scene.
On the instruction of the zonal commander ACC Marcus Ayankoya to get the suspected killer, Ridwan was arrested where he was hiding in a bush.
He confessed to killing his father, Ishau, using a rope tied around his neck and a knife to take the portions of his body required for ritual purposes.
On interrogation, Ridwan told the corps that he had only removed his father’s larynx, four teeth, and private area at the request of a ritualist he identified as Baba Kekere whom he refused to provide information when questioned about the ritualist’s whereabouts.
According to the state commander of the corps, Commander Soji Ganzallo, the alleged murderer has been moved to the Nigeria Police Force’s Ogbere Divisional Headquarters for additional investigation and likely prosecution.
