Normal business activities were ongoing at the popular Tombia/Etegwe market in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa capital as at 8:15 am on election day.
Some of the traders who spoke to the Press say they have lost confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), following the outcome of the just concluded February 25 polls.
The Popular Tombia/Etegwe market was full to capacity as traders and consumers went about their business.
Rowdiness engulfed the market when the traders sighted the camera on them.
The traders say the reason they boycotted the state house of assembly poll was that they have no trust in the electoral umpire anymore.
The situation was not different from most areas visited as shops were opened. As of the time of this report, voting was still ongoing in all the areas visited.
