Edo gov attributes low voters turnout to heavy security presence

Godwin Obaseki

Governor Godwin Obaseki has attributed the low turnout of voters in the March 18 House of Assembly election which was held across the eighteen local government areas of Edo to the tight security measures put in place by the Nigerian Police Force.

Governor Obaseki stated this after casting his vote at his unit eighteen, ward four of Oredo Local Government Area at Emokpae Primary School.

He appealed for people to come out in large numbers to exercise their constitutional duties.
