Samuel Ortom, the governor of Benue, declared on Wednesday that he had pardoned President Muhammadu Buhari.
In response to inquiries on “The Morning Show” on Arise Television, Ortom revealed this.
Ortom has criticized the presidency for attributing the murders in the state to his government.
He called the president’s attempts to pin the problem on his administration “futile attempts to twist events and history.”
Nigerians who were displeased with his administration did not accept Buhari’s apology because they did not like him.
The governor stated that he has already forgiven the President after citing the Christian Holy Book to support his claims.
“When you don’t forgive, God won’t either,” he declared. As a Bible student and a newly baptized Christian, I forgave President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ortom expressed hope for a better performance from the Bola Tinubu administration in the state and the entire country.
“We hope that the new administration will support, assist, secure, promote economic growth, and maintain peace for our people.”
“We’ve been in pain for eight years.”
However, he recommended Buhari stay in Nigeria and work with Tinubu’s administration to bring the state and country up from “bottom to top.”
He’s not required to travel to the Niger Republic. He ought to remain in Nigeria with us.
By God’s grace, we will rise from the bottom to the top if we all cooperate with the incoming administration, he continued.
