The majority leader of the Federal House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, and his other conspirators to be charged with the alleged murder of a state resident, according to a ruling by the Kano High Court presided over by Justice Maryam Sabo.
An order of mandamus was requested by retired chief magistrate Muntari Garba Dandago of Kano in order to compel the AG to bring the charge.

A judicial writ known as an Order of Mandamus is used to direct an inferior court or to require someone to carry out a public or legal obligation.
However, the Court only issued the ruling after Y.I. Shariff’s counsel filed an ex parte application.
