NAFDAC delegation visit headquarters of Theatre Command in North East

NAFDAC North East Zone officials and Theatre Command Operation Hadin Kai.

The Deputy Director of the NAFDAC North East Zone, Mr. Jamil Audu, along with his executive team, embarked on a courtesy visit to the Headquarters Theatre Command Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) on Thursday, September 7, 2023.

The visiting NAFDAC delegation was warmly received by the Theatre Commander of Joint Task Force North East OPHK, Major General GU Chibuisi, at the HQ Theatre Command located within the Maimalari Military Cantonment.

Mr. Jamil Audu, who also serves as the State Coordinator for NAFDAC, expressed the primary purpose of their visit, which was to strengthen collaboration and foster closer synergy with the Command.

He emphasized the critical role that NAFDAC plays in supporting the operational activities of OPHK.

Mr. Audu extended his gratitude to the Theatre Commander for the security cover and protection provided to NAFDAC personnel during their operational endeavors within the Maiduguri Metropolitan Council and its surroundings.

In response, the Theatre Commander reaffirmed his Command’s commitment to maintaining a robust partnership with NAFDAC, underlining the significance of multi-stakeholder cooperation in OPHK’s mission against terrorism.

He explained that “Hadin Kai” signifies a multi-stakeholder approach, wherein NAFDAC plays a pivotal role, particularly in the broader effort to combat drug peddling and drug use.

He assured NAFDAC of the Command’s open-door policy, extending a warm invitation for continued collaboration and support between the two organizations.

The visit was marked by the signing of the visitor’s book, the exchange of souvenirs, and a group photograph, with several key officials from both sides in attendance.

Including the Chief of Staff, Headquarters Theatre Command, Brigadier General A Idris, and Theatre Intelligence Coordinator Brigadier General B Sarki, among others.
