Nigeria’s Moses Owharo to hold Africa climate change, investment summit in US

Africa Infrastructure, Climate Change and Investment Summit has invited all to its summit and exhibition slated to be held from July 10 to 12, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Virginia.

The summit which is aimed to bring together over 1,500 participants and stakeholders to discuss and address key issues affecting Africa’s development and growth.

Speaking with the convener and chairman of the planning committee, Hon. Moses O.T Owharo said, the group intend to have in attendance the former U.S. President Barack Obama, present and past African Heads of State, the United Nations, African Union, ECOWAS, private sectors, and heads of CSOs.

“It’s very important that the government of the United States is fully involved because of the issues surrounding immigration and US roles in Africa development. All this will be discussed and so, plans are under way by inviting the US States and the relevant agencies to be involved.”

The program with a tagged theme “Bridging gape for increased development co-operation for Africa’s effective economic development and consolidation of peace and democracy” will create a strategic action plan for leveraging Climate Change initiatives and mobilizing government and institutional investors to capitalize on $12 trillion worth of investment and partnership opportunities in infrastructure, green-energy transition, and climate change in Africa.

The event includes summit opening ceremony, plenary session, breakout workshops session, dinner, participation certificates and award night.
