The House of Representatives Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Ifo/Ewekoro, Florence Funlola Akinrinde popularly known as FFA has debunked the rumours of her planned defection to the ruling party in the state.
Akinrinde who made this known in an interview with newsmen on Saturday said she was surprised by the rumours and there is no singular truth about it.
In her statement, she further explained that “she was called by another gubernatorial candidate in the state to join forces with him to win the state but she rejected the offer immediately and told him, I remain loyal to my party and the agenda of fixing the wrongs of the current administration.
She exclaimed her disappointment when she later read from some WhatsApp political loops that she is planning of defecting to the ruling party APC. Akinrinde (FFA) categorically affirmed that she will never defect to APC.
“Those mischievous people can keep up with lies and schemes. I will not be caught along in their illusions or dirty agendas. Our agenda to fix Ogun State will be done irrespective of these plots”.
She implored all ADC members and party faithful to disregard the rumours as there is no truth in them.
