Opobo people commend INEC for smooth exercise

Some Electorate at Opobo in Opobo/ Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the smooth conduct of the ongoing governorship and house of assembly polls in their area.

Speaking to newsmen at Opobo, they noted that there was an improvement on the February 25 Presidential and national assembly election.

These obviously elated voters in Opobo Town say that the March 18 Governorship and state houses of assembly election was very calm and peaceful.

They commended the electoral umpire for addressing some of the concerns raised over the conduct of the February 25 presidential election that witnessed late arrival of materials and some other glitches.

The people said they were optimistic that the results will reflect the choices made by every eligible voter across Rivers.
