Real Madrid is ranked as the most valuable football team in the world for 2022 by Forbes, the most popular website in the world.
The largest football club in Spain, valued at $6.07 billion (£4.9 billion), is currently in first place.
Manchester United and PSG, which is owned by Qatar, are ranked below Real Madrid, a 14-time Champions League victor.
According to Forbes, “the Spanish team has advanced to five of the last nine lucrative Champions League finals, winning all of them.”
Seven of the top 30 clubs are from Major League Soccer, while six of the top 10 teams are Premier League teams.
The only two Spanish football teams to make the top 10 are Real Madrid and Barcelona, their main rival. This demonstrates the two La Liga rivals’ financial hegemony.
Atletico Madrid, which is ranked in 13th place, is the only club that made the top 30 list. The worth of it is $1.54 billion.
According to Forbes, “Real Madrid has also secured nearly $400 million from Sixth Street and Legends as part of a 20-year deal to enhance revenue at its Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, which has been undergoing a massive renovation that is expected to be completed next year.”
