Nigerian women have been charged to come out en-mass and use the opportunity the February 25th and March 11th general elections provide by making their voices heard clearly and loudly.
This they can do by using their PVCs to elect visionary, empathic, and focus-driven leaders that together can restore the country to the path of progress, unity, accelerating development, and greatness.
The President of the New York-based non-governmental organization, Women Advocacy and Good Governance Restoration, Gillian Okafor gave the charge in a chat with The Nigerian Press USA on the sideline of the Obi/Datti campaign rally at the Freedom Plaza in Washington DC, the United States capital.

Ms Okafor said the time has come for Nigerians to change the narratives by voting for leaders whose thought view is all about Nigeria and nothing else.
According to her, the potential that God has endowed the country with can only be harnessed through good governance with a leadership that is trustful, reliable, and humane with a track record of accountability and the fear of God.
The Good Governance Activist enjoined all to screen all the candidates vying for whatever position to ensure that only those with proven records of honesty, passion, and service are given the mandate to rebuild the country bedeviled by corruption, impunity, nepotism, and abysmal performance.
Speaking on why she is supporting Peter Obi for the Nigerian number one top job, she said, his agenda for the country is in line with what her NGO stands for.
“I believe that Peter Obi is the man who can be trusted with the leadership of our country. He wants a new change and a good change for Nigeria. That is why we are looking into what we have heard him say so far. With the promises he has made so far, knowing personally, confirming what is done, and knowing what it stands for his discipline, I still believe, he’s the man that could come in place and structure Nigeria become a great nation again and the giant of Africa, which we once know ourselves to be.”

Advising women and young girls ahead of the general elections, she said,
“We Nigerian women, we all have our voice silent for too long, but this is an opportunity for us to come out in numbers to say enough is enough. Our children need a good life, we need a good education, we don’t want to be treated by people that use their position to oppress us due to culture and tradition. It is time for us to join hands with the good leader in Peter Obi and Ahmed Datti government to help build Nigeria again. Come out in your numbers wherever you are. Your votes matter, it can change the narrative.”
