AFCON 2025: Nigeria, Benin Republic submit joint bid

As the bidding process closed on Friday, it has been confirmed that Nigeria and Benin Republic are among the Countries that beat the deadline on Friday.

The President of the Algerian Football Federation Salah Bey Aboud who was also in Cairo to file his Country’s candidacy confirmed the bidding of the joint bid of Nigeria and Benin.

“I have just officially submitted the application file for CAN 2025.
Nigeria and Benin have submitted a joint file in addition to the Moroccan file,” said the Algerian football boss.

The deadline for submitting applications is set for this Friday, December 16, and many countries have submitted their applications.

In addition to the joint bid of Nigeria and Benin, Algeria, Morocco, South Africa, Senegal, and Zambia are the other Countries to formalize their candidacies.
