Today’s match between DC Motema Pembe of the DR Congo and Rivers United of Nigeria will be played as part of Confederation of African Football Cup Group B matchday four.

Rivers United was awaiting the CAF‘s ruling over Motema Pembe’s refusal to show up for their match-day four fixture in Uyo on Wednesday.
“Officially, due to the absence of DC Motema Pembe, CAF TotalEnergies Confederation’s Cup Group B match number 127 between Rivers United (Nigeria) and DCMP (RD Congo) has been postponed. Around the game’s scheduled kickoff time on Wednesday, Rivers United posted: “We await the Confederation of African Football (CAF) ruling.
With six points from three games, Rivers United is presently second in Group B, one point behind ASEC Mimosas of Cote d’Ivoire, while Motema Pembe is last with just two points.
On their Twitter account on Thursday, Rivers United announced the match’s rescheduled date.
The match between DC Motema Pembe and Rivers United in Group B of the CAF TotalEnergies Confederations Cup will now take place on Thursday, March 9 at 3 p.m. (15:00 HRS), the team tweeted.
On the third day of the championship, DC Motema Pembe was defeated 1-0 by Rivers United.
