Sunday’s Serie A match between champions Napoli and 10-man Inter Milan ended in a 3-1 victory for Napoli thanks to goals from Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, and Gianluca Gaetano.
For the first time ever, Napoli has defeated each of the other 18 Serie A teams in a single season. Inter is in third place with 66 points, one point ahead of Lazio, which plays Udinese later on Sunday.
When Roberto Gagliardini was dismissed four minutes before halftime for a late challenge on Anguissa, the visitors’ task became more challenging.
When Anguissa received the ball inside the area unmarked in the 67th minute, he turned and volleyed the ball into the far bottom corner of the goal.
In the 82nd minute, Romelu Lukaku equalized with a deft tap-in from six yards out. However, three minutes later, Napoli captain Di Lorenzo skillfully curled a beautifully timed drive from outside the area into the far top corner.
Four minutes into added time, Gaetano easily completed a one-on-one situation with Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana to give the hosts a 3-0 lead.
