FIFA clears Zambia captain on testosterone

Zambia’s Shepolopolo Skipper, Barbra Banda

Ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the World Soccer Ruling Body has cleared the Skipper of Zambia’s Shepolopolo Barbra Banda.

Banda was missing action during the 2022 Women’s African Cup of Nations in Morocco after CAF confirmed that she has high testosterone in her body.

The Football Association of Zambia did everything it could but it yielded no fruits as CAF maintained its stand.

Without her, Zambia finished the competition as the 3rd best team and qualified for the World Cup.

The football body on Thursday morning finally cleared her to participate in the events that will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
