Aviation fuel scarcity may disrupt flight operations

Airline Operators of Nigeria, AON, have raised the alarm of possible disruption of scheduled flight operations due to scarcity of Aviation fuel also known as JET A One

The AON, in a release by its spokesman Obiora Okonkwo, says the issue of fuel scarcity resurfaced a few days ago, and it may force airlines to reschedule flights which may result in delays or cancellations

The AON noted that this development will have serious implications on flight operations, especially at this time of Christmas festivity when there is a massive movement of people for the celebrations

They however assured that they will do their best to manage the situation and ensure safe flight operations, as they appeal to concerned authorities and oil marketers to address the issue as a matter of urgency.
